Writing these blog posts has made me really think about how great of a time I have had studying abroad in Spain. Since day one here, I have not been disappointed. I could not have asked for better experiences and friends. I feel so so lucky to have gotten to study abroad in such an amazing place like Seville. If anyone reading this ever wants to study abroad or even just take a trip to Europe, I fully recommend coming to the province of Andalusia, Spain. If you are another NAU student reading this and you want to study abroad in Spain, Universidad Pablo de Olavide is a great school with nice professors and is located in such a nice city (Seville).
Today I had my last class at UPO. Although, I still have to take all of my finals. I have to take three finals and will be done with my last one next Tuesday. I am happy that I won't have homework anymore, but am sad that I won't get to see my professors and class friends every week. I am going to get each of them a small gift as a thank you to them for teaching us all semester and I also need to get a picture with them all to remember their faces and the good times I spent with them.
Many students who are studying abroad here from all over the world are leaving at the end of May, but fortunately get to stay later. I have to move out of my residence on May 23rd, so I was thinking of traveling to Italy with my friend until my family arrives. My mom, dad, and older sister are coming to visit me in Spain! They will arrive on May 30th and we will spend a week in Spain, and then we are going to France and spending a week there. My mom is a French teacher which is why we want to visit France while they are here (my mom studied abroad in France when she was younger and fell in love with the language, which is why she became a teacher). My family has flights back to America on June 13th, but I don't have a plane ticket back yet because I am thinking about staying all summer. I wanted to visit my friends in Germany and Greece and maybe travel to places like Berlin and Amsterdam and spend some more time in Spain. If I do this, I will stay until July 31st. I signed a lease to live in a house with two of my friends back in Flagstaff, Arizona so I already have a place to live when I get back and school doesn't begin until the end of August. I need to make a decision soon though if I will either go back June 13th with my family or stay until the end of July. There are pros and cons to each option, but whatever I do I will keep the blog updated! I might even decide to make a post about how my life changed in America after coming back from Spain.
One thing I know for sure is that I will be back to Spain and Europe sometime after I graduate from Northern Arizona University. I have completely fallen in love with Spain and Spanish, I will find a way to come back and live here one day. I might even decide to do a masters or PhD program here. The future is limitless.
Thanks for reading, and talk to you later!
- Camille :)
