Una cervesa por favor! Beer is one of the most common drinks that Spaniards like to drink literally all day, every day. The beer that is from Seville is called cruzcampo. You can purchase this brand of beer in every grocery store and restaurant. It is also extremely cheap to order, in the grocery store a can of it is about 90 cents and it is never usually more than two euros at a restaurant. You can usually order a small or large beer (cervesa pequena o grande) and the large one is usually a euro or so more than the small. The only time it is not very common to drink beer is at a late-night bar or discoteca (club). In the bars and clubs it is more common to drink a cocktail or take shots. I usually order a gin and tonic or whiskey soda when I go out to the clubs. When I go to bars with a wide variety of cocktail options I order whatever sounds good in the moment.

Another common beverage to order when you are out at a restaurant or small bar is tinto de verano. It is also inexpensive like beer and consists of red wine combined with sprite. It is also served over ice. I like to get tinto when I am out with friends because I am still not a fan of beer.

One drink that is popular during the famous feria de abril en Sevilla is called rebujito. To preface, feria de abril is a week long celebration/fair at the end of April in Seville. Rebujito is sold everywhere at the fair and the ingredients to make it were in every grocery store the week before it began. To make rebujito you combine a dry, white wine called manzanilla with 7 UP or sprite. I drank lots of it during feria and I enjoyed it very much. During the end of April is when it started to get unbearably hot so it was nice to drink rebujito since it is served over ice.

One other really popular drink is the classic cafe con leche (coffee with milk). It is always served hot but you can ask for a cup of ice to pour it into.

Another drink that is common in Seville is orange juice! Oranges are everywhere here! In every grocery store you are able to pour your own fresh orange juice into a cup.
