At the end of February, I took a trip to Morocco, Africa with a bunch of my friends from America and Erasmus (foreign exchange program). We went from Friday to Sunday and within that time we visited four cities. Morocco is very close to the south of Spain, so it did not take too long to get there from Seville. We first took a bus to the southern city of Algeciras and then from there we took a ferry to the city of Tangier, Morocco.

In Tangier, we rode camels by the beach and then enjoyed lunch at a nearby restaurant. After that we went into town and walked around for a bit. I was very surprised because there were cats everywhere on the streets and sidewalks! After walking around Tangier we went to our hotel and checked in to our rooms. We were given breakfast and dinner every day while we stayed at the hotel in Tangier for two nights.

The next day, we took the bus to Chefchaouen, which is known as the "blue city". It is called the blue city for a reason: all of the walls and building in town are blue! While in this city we had lunch at a restaurant in a castle. We ate couscous with vegetables and watched dancers dance to Arabic music.

After visiting and touring Chefchaouen, we rode to Tetouan. We walked around the city and were able to go shopping for a bit. Me and a bunch of other friends on the trip bought scarves. They are in every shop in Morocco.

The last day in Morocco we visited the town of Asilah. This was a beautiful town right by the beach. We also walked around this city and then enjoyed lunch before we had to get on the bus back to where the ferry was.

Overall I had a pretty fun-filled and busy weekend in Africa, a continent I had never even visited before studying abroad!
