When deciding what part of Seville to live in, I had some help from the website of my University here. I went on their website and they had listed a couple of areas that they recommend students live in. I also asked fellow students from Northern Arizona University where they were going to live. After all of this, I decided to live in a student residence named Nido el Porvenir, in San Bernardo. It is a modern looking apartment complex for students who go to school in Seville. I live in a two bedroom apartment with a roommate who is from Spain. We share a bathroom and a kitchenette. We do not have an oven in our apartments but on each floor has a full kitchen with a couch and television in each one. There is also a gym on the base level and my personal favorite thing about my residence is our rooftop pool. My friends and I like to go up there and enjoy the sun, cool pool water, and some drinks when we have some free time.
I think my residence is in a great area as well. It is a five minute walk from the metro, bus, and tram stations. This is beneficial to me because I have to take the metro to school Monday through Friday every week. Also, I can walk about three to five minutes to two different supermarkets. One is called supermercado más and the other is called el jamón. Right next to my residence is one of the universities in Seville and I am able to go there in the mornings to grab a quick coffee or something to eat before school at the café that is attached to it. Additionally, I signed up for a biking service where I am able to walk to a station and unlock a bike to ride to certain destinations around the city. I have one of these stations about a two minute walk from my residence. Overall, I am happy with my choice of living situation.
